CREATE YOUR VOTER'S GUIDE
To paraphrase the founders, the best security for our nation is for all citizens to be informed and to vote. This tradition and duty used to be taught as “civics” classes that also explained why our ancestors fought for this right. Now Votocracy uses technology to make this process easier including one-click sharing for family, friends and neighbors. Creating your personal voter's guide is EASY and FREE! Here's how:
STEP 1: FOLLOW YOUR ELECTED OFFICES
You get to vote and are represented based on where you live. Enter your zip code and Votocracy will provide you with the list of your 30-40 elected offices. Just click on the “Follow All” button and you’ve started creating your personal voter’s guide. We'll also provide information on these federal, state, county and municipal offices that most affect your life.
STEP 2: ADD OPINIONS YOU TRUST
It's hard enough to be thorough on who's running for President or Governor or Mayor. By the time you're trying to determine who to support for Port Commissioner or County Sheriff you just don't have the time. You know it’s important, however, and want to be responsible so now Votocracy can really help. Just search for organizations you trust and you‘ll see the candidates they have endorsed. With one-click you can add their list of to your voter's guide. Add as many endorsers as you like to help make your decision.
STEP 3: SUPPORT WORTHY CANDIDATES
Now that you have the list of all the elections you can vote in and lists of endorsements from trusted sources you’re ready to choose candidates to support. When you find a candidate it’s one-click to support them. Do that for all of your elected offices and you’ve created your personal Voter's Guide.
A MOBILE APP FOR THE VOTERS BOOTH
More than 30 billion mobile apps have been downloaded by users due to convenience and easy usability. Votocracy's mobile app reminds you of key dates, especially voting day, provides directions to the nearest voting locations and brings your Voter's Guide right into the booth with you. And once you’ve voted the app allows you to share that with your family, friends and neighbors with one-click sending a tangible reminder for them to exercise their most important civic duty too.
Word-of-mouth is the most trusted and traditional way voters learn about candidates. At their core Facebook, Twitter and YouTube are just technology powered word-of-mouth. Not everyone is as thorough and responsible as you are so that can really help others make more informed decisions. Everything on Votocracy can be easily shared with one-click.
